Supercomputer in the Pocket: Integrated Development of a High Performance Computing Platform for Embedded Systems

Goal is the development of a massively parallel hardware / software architecture for embedded systems. The system will rely on a large number of extremely simple interconnected CPUs on an FPGA. A mobile high-performance health monitoring application will serve as a proof of concept.


Zonnon project

In this project we investigate programming models to explore locality in concurrent object-oriented programs. In the examined approach we view a single application as a constellation of communicating active objects and in practice we target distributed environments and many core processors.


Tai Chi Sensor

The Tai Chi Sensor project aims to develop motion sensors that support the computer assisted training and augmentation of Tai Chi exercise regime for enhanced self help for health and life style. The research also studies sensor based bio feedback which will focus meditative and motor accuity.


OPTIMI

The goal of the project is to develop wearable, multiparametric monitoring devices and novel algorithms making it possible to detect high stress, poor coping and mild depressive symptoms before they degenerate into serious disease.
